RE: RSA507A Trial Software
Hello,
You can generate a trail license for SV60 from the following web page under Options. If your RSA507A was not equipped with hardware option 04 at purchase you will be unable to use the tracking generator.

RE: MSO46 Transferring data is incredibly slow
Hello,
Take a look at mounting a network drive onto your scope. This will allow you to share a directory from your computer to your scope. With this, you can save data files to the directory on the scope and have them populate on your computer. If you have your data saved into a folder on the scope, you can copy that folder into the shared directory and it will upload to your computer.
You can find information on how to mount a network drive to a standard instrument on page 95 of the user manual: https://www.tek.com/en/manual/oscilloscope/456-series-mso-5-series-mso. Check and see what firmware is currently installed on your scope. There is a minimum firmware version needed to be able to mount a drive.
Note that beneath the instructions to mount the drive, you will find instructions on how to mount a TekDrive on the instrument. TekDrive is a paid option that is similar to mounting a network drive, but will save the data to the cloud instead.

RE: TPA-BNC adapter and MDO4054C / ADA400A
Hi,
Yes, that combination should work fine with the MDO4054C.

RE: TLP058 Compatibility with DPO 4000 Series
Hi,
Unfortunately no, the TLP058 is only compatible with our latest 4/5/6 Series MSO scopes (requiring the FlexChannel Inputs). There aren't any logic probes available for the DPO4000 Series scope.

RE: TDS2024C Timeout Error
Hello Travis,
Unfortunately we do not support nor test our software with mac computers. It could be parallels doing something unusual, though I have no way to test this. I would suggest first verifying that the instrument is working with a windows computer and TekScope.

RE: DSA71254C Third Party Application Powerlight
Thanks for contacting us.
The scope does have an open operating system (Windows) that broadly supports the installation of third party applications.
Connecting the scope to a UPS is a good idea, but I'm a bit skeptical of software that sounds like it may be interacting with startup/shutdown functionality of the scope as that may introduce unexpected behavior.

RE: TDS2004B TekVisa Issue
Hello ,
The first thing I would check is that LAN Auto Discovery is turned on. In the OpenChoice Instrument Manager, click on Search Criteria (bottom left), then navigate to the LAN tab. You should see a box for Auto Discovery. Make sure that is checked and that the relevant search source types (i.e., LAN, VXI, and any others you are using) are also turned on for the search criteria.

RE: Tektronix OScope Power Analysis Software Suggestion for MSO56
Hi,
You mentioned a solution is needed to characterize the power module and analyze power loss. This seems like an ideal application for our 5-PWR analysis software. 5-PWR enables automated, accurate power system measurements. I have provided a link to the Advanced Power Measurement and Analysis Datasheet below , and the Key measurements that can be performed with this software can be found on page 1 (PDF page 2). These measurements do include Switching Loss, which measures turn-on, turn-off, and conduction loss in switching devices.
Advanced Power Measurement and Analysis: https://www.tek.com/en/datasheet/advanced-power-measurement-and-analysis
Key Measurements:A SUP5-PWR (upgrade version of the license) node-locked license starts around $4,200. However, we also offer some Power bundles that offer great value. These bundles would be 5-PRO-POWER, 5-PS2, or 5-PS2FRA.
• 5-PRO-POWER Includes: Starter Bundle, 5-RL-125M (extended record length), 5-PWR, 5-DPM, 5-IMDA, and more…
o Price estimate (1-year): $3,200
o Price estimate (perpetual): $8,000
o Pro Power Bundle (Datasheet page 5): https://download.tek.com/document/Software-Bundle_Brochure_48W-73761-1.pdf
• 5-PS2 incudes: 5-PWR, TCP0030A current probe, THDP0200 high voltage differential probe, 067-1686-xx deskew fixture
o Price estimate: $7,200
• 5-PS2FRA includes: 5-PS2, two TPP0502 probes
o Price estimate: $8,200If you are interested in purchasing or receiving a quote for one of this options/bundles, feel free to contact our sales team at 1 800 833 9200.
