RE: Which command group to retrieve the specturm measurement results of MSO44?
Hi,<br> <br> I was wondering if there has been a fix to read out the measurement for the channel power? I am attempting to record channel power remotely using SCPI, but I am receiving incorrect measurements reported back.<br> <br> - I am measuring the power of Channel 8 using Spectrum View on Measurement 1<br> - The badge is present on the screen, showing ~ -100dBm<br> - Command sent: <code> MEASU:MEAS1:RESU:CURR:MAX? <\code><br> - Response to Query: "9.91E+37"<br> <br> Any help would be appreciated! -
RE: MSO58 Spectrum View: Measuring peak amplitude
Afonso,
The FW rev update was the issue. As soon as I updated the firmware, the option to change between "Chx Analog" and "Chx SV_Normal" was available. Thank you so much for your help!

RE: MSO58 Spectrum View: Measuring peak amplitude
After reading more documentation, I see a note that states, "If the menu shows tabs other than Standard, then optional measurement types have been installed on the instrument. Select a tab to show the measurements for that option."
Could this be the issue? Are there add-ons that I would need to download in order to be able to view Analog, SV_Normal, Normal, Max Hold, and so on from the Measurements Source List?

RE: MSO58 Spectrum View: Measuring peak amplitude
Thanks again for the help. I'm just not seeing a "Source" menu / hard button / soft button / etc. Sorry for the confusion. I'm sure if it was a snake it would bite me...

RE: MSO58 Spectrum View: Measuring peak amplitude
Thanks so much for the response, Afonso! When you say "change the source to Ch_1_SV_Normal", are you referring to changing the source in the measurement window? Or somewhere else? The only options I can see when I open the measurement window is Ch1-Ch8. Thanks again. -
MSO58 Spectrum View: Measuring peak amplitude
I am attempting to measure the amplitude at a specific frequency in Spectrum View on an MSO58. Specifically I would like to record this information via SCPI commands, so the on-screen banners alongside the markers and/or cursors which display values is not of help to me (unless those values can be retrieved via SCPI commands). This seems like it should be very easy to add, but I cannot figure it out. If I choose to add a new measurement, the spectrum view is not an option, and so the amplitude that is reported on the measurement window is referencing the time domain signal. I have attempted multiple different methods to gather this information including the Spectrum View Marker, Cursors set to the desired frequency, Math functions, etc., but none have worked.
I have attached an image of the signal for reference. The frequency of interest is 25kHz. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
