RE: AFG31002 Trigger delay has no affect
Hello Daniel,

It looks like you might be modifying the settings for synchronizing multiple AFG31ks together.

Instead, to modify the delay between two channels on the same instrument you will need to modify the phase/delay setting. This can be found under the frequency parameter for a given waveform. -
RE: Missing Trash Can on MSO56 screen
Hello Joe,
Thanks for confirming. To deactivate a channel swipe down, and to deactivate a measurement swipe it to the right.
Starting at 8:40 this video has an excellent introduction to the updated user interface. Additionally, at 9:40 Brandon demonstrates swiping a channel off screen to deactivate.

RE: Missing Trash Can on MSO56 screen
Hello Joe,
Thanks for the clarification, I have attached a photo to make sure we are talking about the same icon. This icon was removed with a firmware update a while ago. It has been replaced by swiping the waveform or measurement badge off screen to delete.
Could you tell me what firmware version your scope is running? This can be found under Help > About. -
RE: Missing Trash Can on MSO56 screen
Hello,
I believe that you are referring to the recycling bin on the desktop of a Windows 10 based scope. If that is not correct, could you please elaborate?
If your scope is running Windows 10, you can show the recycling bin with the following steps.
Open the Start menu > select Settings.
Go to Personalization > Themes > Desktop Icon Settings
Select RecycleBin > Apply

RE: SCPI/programming: Is there a way to simply retrieve the scope screen shot as a file object
Hello,
One method for saving the screen capture directly to the host computer is to create a shared folder on the host computer and connect to it from the scope. The scope could then save data to the shared folder, this would also work for saving waveforms, and session files. -
RE: AFG3000 series and Arbexpress - creating a sine waveform
For setup B you could use the Modulation Mode set to AM, with 100% modulation depth, and internal modulation source. Create a custom waveform in ArbExpress of just the pulses scaled to ±1V. Values of -1V will be off, and +1V full amplitude. -
RE: MSO5 series spurious tone
Hello,
Spurs at integer fractions of the sample clock are normal. These can be slightly reduced by running regularly Signal Path Compensation (SPC) after the scope has warmed up. For low level measurements we recommend running SPC once a week, or if the ambient temperature has changed by more than 5C. You can run SPC by pressing Utility > Calibration > Run SPC. -
RE: RSA306B What is the physical setup required to measure SINAD?
In addition to Afonso's comment, you will need to connect the signal to the RF input (type N connector) on the RSA306B. The Ref In port is for connecting an external 10MHz refrence clock if desired. -

RE: how to get EXIT key file in kickstart for checking it in AMS
Hello,
To remove a license from KickStart and to generate the exit key do the following:- Click on the key icon in the top right corner of the KickStart application.
- In the pop up window select the license you would like to remove.
- Click "Remove License"
- Save the exit key somewhere easy to find on your system.
- For ease I like saving it to a folder in Documents
